Concrete re-scheduled for Thursday morning, as it looks like rain for Tuesday. We have our tarpaulin up to protect the dpm which we dried out on Sunday. Hopefully this 'mk2' version will actually protect the dpm from rain, which our previous attempt didnt. The tarp will be taken off and any rainwater removed on Wednesday, before fixing the edging compressible board in readiness for concrete on Thursday.
Wallplate fixing this weekend, then we can start what I consider to be the actual building of the actual house next weekend.
NHBC letter came through acknowledging payment of the £2200 fee which we paid in February (!), which means we should be getting our certificates of inspections sometime soon, which means we can apply for the next stage of the money from the mortgage when we need it.

In October 2008 we completed the purchase of a plot of land in Cheltenham, on which we are going to build our first house together. This blog will chart our progress on the build, and life in general, as I personally fulfil one of my life's ambitions - to build my own house :)
